Donde Mónica is well known for their restaurant and beautiful hidden terrace in Salamanca neighbourhood but they have now also opened a new place in La Moraleja, which we decided to visit before Christmas. The menu is the same in both restaurants so if you live in the city it will be easier for you to visit the one on Calle de Padilla, 3. We had a great lunch at their new place and we decided to seat in the luminous terrace, covered for the winter month, where Timón enjoyed the sunlight piercing through the windows in this gorgeous interior.
The team at the location was not only very nice to us but to Timón as well, they kindly accommodated us to a table where it would be easier with him and for other customers.
As a starter we shared the burrata, which was very good, creamy as you cut into it and fresh as the taste was very soft. Burrata is one of my favourite Italian products but it’s also one dish that only can rely on its quality. To continue I enjoyed a traditional vegetable Thai curry and my partner the burger both nice. Next time I would definitely try the cakes as they were looking delicious
A very pretty place to eat in and that I would recommend for a cake that we will try next on their beautiful terrace in Salamanca neighbourhood ( Calle de Padilla, 3).
Please note that the aperitif is a supplement on the bill, you also have to pay an extra 15% on the price for eating in the terrace, as it was winter time we did not have to pay it as it was all enclosed.
